Unravelled is an arts organisation led by Polly Harknett, and Caitlin Heffernan. We celebrate innovation in the arts by working across fine art and craft practice and by offering exhibition opportunities in spaces where artists and makers can explore how art can evoke histories, stories and a sense of place.
We are currently working on Wetlands Unravelled with the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust which will see us commissioning and exhibiting new site-specific works at their London Wetland Centre in 2020-2021.
From 2012-2015 we curated Unravelling the National Trust developing exhibitions for National Trust properties Nymans, The Vyne and Uppark along with our former co-director artist and curator Matt Smith.
We also organise workshops, talks and symposia that encourage dialogue, debate and collaboration between artists who might not otherwise work together. Our objective is to inspire novel ideas and ways of working and give artists, makers and the heritage sector the chance to explore new contexts, new challenges and new audiences.
